Cutting and Drilling Tools
A drill/driver, appropriate bits, jigsaw, circular or track saw and hole saws cover many common tasks. Metal openings require the correct blade, edge protection and corrosion treatment.
Electrical Tools
Wire strippers, a quality crimping tool matched to the terminals, heat-shrink tools and a multimeter are common. High-current DC and 120V AC work may require specialized tools and professional verification.
Plumbing Tools
The exact tools depend on the tubing and fittings chosen. Plan for clean cuts, the correct connection method and access for tightening or replacement.
Cabinetry and Finishing
Clamps, sanding equipment, a router for certain details, fastener drivers and dust control can improve finish quality. Lightweight van furniture does not have to use the same methods as residential cabinetry.
Safety Equipment
Eye protection, hearing protection, gloves appropriate to the task, respirators for dust or fumes, fire extinguishers and safe lifting/support equipment should be planned as part of the tool budget, not as optional extras.
