Decide Bed Orientation With Finished Walls in Mind
The ProMaster’s width can support layouts that are difficult in narrower vans, but insulation and wall layers reduce the final sleeping width. Mock up the finished dimension before committing.
Reserve Low Space for Heavy Components
Batteries and water tanks are dense. Place them securely and consider how their position affects axle loading and handling.
Route Systems Before Cabinetry
Map electrical and plumbing runs while the shell is open. Leave pull paths or conduit where future upgrades are likely.
Keep the Build Modular
Removable cabinet faces, service panels and replaceable modules make repairs easier. A van experiences vibration and temperature swings that ordinary household furniture does not.
Verify Vehicle-Specific Compatibility
Seat swivels, roof accessories, heaters and other components may have model-year or configuration limitations. Verify fitment and manufacturer instructions before cutting or drilling.
